comic #246

Hello hello. It has been almost two years since I posted a Steve comic. Life has been chugging on. Last year was the most kick ass year of my life. The odd thing is, Steve wasn't a part of it at all. I only noticed when I finished 2008, that the people I hung out with that year didn't know anything about Steve. If you were a friend of mine prior to that year These comics were that "Oh Izak, you do that little comic thing don't you." it was like my nervous twitch thingy. I think it may have been a good thing that I disattached really. The comic had a lot of baggage with it. I started planning how the story would continue a few months ago. Revising in my mind over and over how the story will go. Tying up loose ends, etc. Grounding the comic in its roots also. The story style I used in the last few comics is shit. It didn't have that bit of life that the framed comics did.
So here it is, quite unceremoniosly presented to you, uncoloured is the next step in the odd life of steve.
P.s. If you want to know what I'm up to these days check out Izaksmells.blogspot.com

Comic #244

This comic is done in a style im going to try and perfect, it’s a bit like the whole “Sin city” look and other underground comics of the eighties. Unfortunately I didn’t really plan the writing for this one to go anywhere. So it looks a bit messy like that. My bad.

The ipod one is just to prove to you all that I HAVE been doing other art work while I have been gone from the blogging scene. Sorry it’s an injoke, you might laugh anyway.

Life is a series of ups and downs, in an occilating pattern. It just so happens that I’m on the up hill slop at the moment. I hope it doesn’t peak any time soon.
Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) not everyone occilates at the same speed. While I go on a high some one else is going on a low. Some people may go through the whole pattern over a course of about a week. Im glad im one of the bass notes that usually takes its time over these things.
In other news I had my ears blasted out last night. I seriously hope I get my hearing back. Cause if everything sounds distant like this for the rest of my life I’m gonna be so pissed. I danced like a maniac, for the ska band that played. Teehee, and I hung out in a graveyard for a bit. Looking at “Grave stones”. Sorry In-joke (inn-joke).

Quote of the week: (izak) I'm on a natural high known as life.

comic #243

another comic down, only a bizzilion to go. Look at those beams holding up the warehouse. What sorta blind ass enginer/arcitect built that? No wonder the warehouse was originally abandoned before The black bars infested it.
I have noticed that no matter what, theres almost always a perfect song out there to go along with, brighten, or make light of any situation your in. Theres always the perfect song... Except that one song that barely gets played anymore. Complete silence.
I heard that song the night before. I took the bins out to the street for collection. The night was cold, really cold, but it felt kinda good. there weren't really any stars cause of the overcast clouds. But there was complete silence. I couldnt hear cars or anything. If I was in an action movie it would be the silence just before someone says "Its quiet, TOO quiet." and then stands on a land mine. See, be careful what you wish for.
Silence is awesome. I suggest you find it someday. You cant buy it or order it online. You have to hunt it out. then sit and enjoy it, cause itl soon be gone. Just like that guy who stood on the land mine.
last part -
Nick stood, looking out over the water of the harbour. What little did those humans know. They had no idea what they released upon the world, just because of their selfishness and blasé nature. In his state of victory he didn’t notice a straight figure, with emotionless features walk towards the water. The person was fully clothed, and when they went into the water it was as thought they didn’t know it was there. The person kept walking until he was completely submerged. About half an hour later the figure walked back out of the water. Under his arm was something black.

Comic #240

Yes, I realize, theres no episode #239... As far as you all know.

Iv been gone, duh. At the moment im rockin the suburbs, messing about. Listening to music. Getting up to speed with all my favourite games. It sorta sucks, I wanna get along with this easter animation, but obviously easter is already gone, and I just keep finding better things to do. I feel like a traitor to myself. I went practically a whole year without games because of steve and other projects, but now Im not getting anything done cause of all these stupid games. Grrr their playability.

Easter camp 07 was fab. Anyone in the north Island, that has a youth group. You missed out. Just wanted you to know that. 3300 people, Come on, thats the recipe of fun. 3300 kgs of sugar. 3300 kgs of spaghette, 3300 sets of feet to trample on that unfortunate person who fell over in the rush to get at all the food. I mean, come on, were teenagers, not bulls or brainless 6 year olds. We know how to form lines! Wev done it before! We can do it again. Please people. Dont be noobs.
I feel like going on a nother rant. But its a little to close to home at the moment, and you dont know whos reading in on this. So Ill leave it be.
Laters all, see you real soon, Have fun reading the next bit to the story.

Quote of the day: "Change me!"

continues....

Running with the young woman Nick opened and started to run out the door. Blood spurts from his mouth as the blunt end a spear smacks him in the face. He twisted and fell onto the ground. Dust mingling in his blood.
Two guards picked him up and one other grabbed the girl.
“We know what you are demon, and we know that you have probably soiled this girl with your evil.” Said the guard who held the girl. She tried to struggle till he pressed his sword to her neck.
“Please, don’t kill her. I don’t want any trouble.”
The guard smiled wickedly. “As if a demon can do anything other than spawn trouble.”
And without a second thought the man slit her throat. She let out a weak scream as she fell to the ground. She looked at him with quickly dilating eyes.
“I love you.” Nick said.
She opened her mouth but couldn’t say a word.
He closed his eyes and looked away, tears filling his eyes… He didn’t feel the beatings and stabbing of the guards.

comic #235

The present if the past compared to your future, So don't try to prioritize the present over the past. Since sometimes the past means a lot to people who are trying to drown their present sorrows in it. You heartless jerk. =P

I think im getting into the swing of doing the comics again. I might have another in the next few days.
I hope this new style isnt boring you. Its very economic for me. So dont give me guilt trips =D.

I know I havent updated the 'story' for a while, but I just finished writing the entire thing, you can find the non incremented version on my myspace.

Ester rested her hand on the metal door-handle; she could feel the roar of engines throbbing through the handle into her hand.
As she opened the door the sound didn’t get louder. In fact it became more distant. She was puzzled. Inside was another door facing her. It seemed to be a hallway made out of blackening concrete. Nick nudged her in then followed her. He put a finger to his lips. Water trickled down the wall at one place and the whole corridor smelt damp. There was a dead end at one side and on the other was a junction with a table in the middle. The corridor was lined with doors. They walked towards the junction. Above the table was a single uncovered light bulb, buzzing every now and again. A squalid chair sat near and on top of the table was a black box or case. Ester walked to the table, she looked over at Nick. His eyes were glistening at the box.
“To easy.” He half said to himself. He dropped to the ground; just fast enough to dodge a saber slash from a door behind him.
An Indian man flipped over Nick between him and the table. Ester Stood in a corner, observing this new turn of events, was this a good guy finally come to defend her?
“I knew you would come, Demon,” The Indian man snarled at Nick.
“I’m glad you rolled out the welcome mat Kal`el.” Nick smiled.
They leapt at each other.

artwork

Well, ok, so I didn't bring out a comic on monday, BUT, I did have a fun idea for some artwork, and yes, that is Steve with an emoish hair style, I was testing it out to see how it would look.

It was originally just a doodle I did during school, and then I was like, hey, thats pretty bad ass, I'm gonna keep that then cut it up. So yea, I cut it up and placed on the scanner, I then got some black card for the background then scanned it, Viola. I then Stuck it onto flash and added that text. Its sorta a creepy little thing for my bebo. I like the Steve's usual "whos there" fraidy cat look.

Enjoy. (cause I did)

comic #225

Ok, the new banner should have been up by now, but I'm having trouble with flash and converting to Gif's, so im sorta giving up on that idea for now. I'm gonna have to make it a flash movie or something, and their always a real pain to embed into websites. And on top of that image shack has decided that adverts about PORN is a good idea all of a sudden, so now our netgaurdian thingy is going, "Hell no small child, are you to lay your eyes upon thyne evil web of site! I shall smight thy eyes if thou so lookist upon thay adulterious images. So help me god!!"

So now I need to find a new host for my cartoons and gifs and crud that I wanna use round my sites. (mainly blogger since their to cheap to give me any space to put hidden images into.)
So I'm gonna see what photo bucket says to my pics. =)

My LJ is going to be shutting down, I don't see the point in having two blogs running for seperate cartoons to be honest. So I suggest going and checking it out (If you haven't already) by follow the link over there before its to late and I delete everything on it.

Be a conformist! Add me on myspace. =D

comic #224 1 year anniversary

Yes, freaky isnt it! you didnt read the title wrong. It is indeed the first year anniversary of Steve. He has been making stupid comments for an entire year now. I can hardly believe it myself. It feels like an entire life time of drudgery having to draw this god da-, it feels like just last week I started this inspirational tale, Is what I was meant to say.

So, as celebration I am going to feed you something that no one, (other than me) has seen since its creation. Yes. That weird little comic with the gun in it is the very first appearance of Steve as I wanted him to look. Thats the original beginning that I was gonna go with. I personally think its kick arse compared to the lamo beginning that I came out with in the end. Steves looking pretty butch there doesnt he? I'm not gonna say whether or not thats still part of the story line anymore.

That second one there doesnt really have anything to do with anything, other than the fact it contains What seems to be Steve and evil Izak. Oh yes, That fuz ball thing is Harry, Youl be seeing him around in my later projects.

So, you ask, How exactly did steve come about. Well, I reply, Blame Keir. zoom back a year and about a week to Willow park camp, Were driving home after being leaders. I was commenting on how I would like to start a webcomic since its good for extending E-penis etc. lol, I didn't say that exactly, since I didnt even know what E-penis was back then. But anyhow, I was talking about how I would like it to be about a sorta average guy that has extremely unusual situations thrust upon him. So keir gave me a breif drill on what its like to be a normal person. I took notes. So we came up with the general idea of Steve. There was a lot of story line that we havent or never will get around to using. Some story twists we came up with rocked. But well, Steve decided to write himself. If you ask her about this event she will reply that she doesnt remember a thing about it. But she was and IS very instrumental in Steve. Its basically me that lets the side down from time to time.

I wonder if Ill look at these comics and think they were all right? Were they really worth all those afternoons I coulda been spending playing games and smoking weed?

comic #216 #217

Wow! The first time in ages I have an update thats actually one time 0_0. Go me.

I like evil Izak, hes just so.... Gothic, but at the same time not emo, and yet not even gothic, since I dont think goths have a sense of humour.

Now you must admit, moving someone from one place to the other by turning them into steam IS quit a convenient way of getting them around. You dont need to worry about lumps of body parts getting squashed by the vacume of other dimensions.

I like to think of this update as a bonanza update, since im going to put TWO halves of the story on for you. I know I havent updated it in a while, If you want to read an uninteruppted flow of the story go check out my myspace.

Nick wheeled Ester to the ferry He waited patiently in line. He even got help from one of the crew to get the wheel chair do the ramp without bumping it.
He wheeled her to a secluded part on the outside of the boat.
In the harbor boats were making a slow lazy crawl across the lappy water. It was mid day and most people were on the top of the boat, which had a better view.
The wind swept up off water onto Nick and Ester.
Ester stirred and woke when the motors started to thrum into life.
On the shore Jason was writing his contact details and insurance company details on a napkin furiously. He kept looking up every now and again to see where the wheel chair was going. He slammed the details into the businessman’s hands and started to sprint down the dock towards the boat as it drew away.
He tried shouting but no one was paying attention. Some people on the upper decks waved at him.
Jason thought fast, the ship was slowly, making a wider and wider gap between the docks. Jason jumped.
He looked down and saw the white froth from the huge engines churning the water beneath him. He hesitated, hit the hand rail under one of his ribs and bounced backwards towards his doom.
His hands flailing, grasping at nothing, when one of them hit the edge under the railing. He grabbed it and swung into the side of the ship. Getting the breath knocked out of him and being momentarily stunned. It had all happened within a few seconds.
Some people that had seen him came running and helped him up and over.
He lay down on the cold deck for a little while gasping, letting his pulse have a chance to calm down.

Ester woke up, She had had the most horrible dream, that she had been kidnapped, and she had blown the head off her captor, that professed to being a demon, and the car had almost been crushed by a truck, and then the demon got his head back and saved the day. She was so glad it was over. She looked around, the demon was looking at her. She realized with a sinking feeling that it wasn’t a dream. How come dreams about her and Jason never came true? Why was it only the stink ones that came true. Like when she had dreamed she had cleaned the whole house, it had taken all night. Then she woke up and realized she had to do it all again, but this time awake.
.Nick looked around surreptitiously.
“Can you stand up? Cause its time to get moving.”
Ester glared at him, then stood up.
Nick smiled, “Ah, good, I was worried about you for a second. Now go down that hall and don’t even think of calling for help.” He let the butt of his water pistol stick out of his pocket slightly to show that he meant business.
He let his face drop for a second, “I’m sorry we have to do it this way, but we both know I can’t trust you.”
She gave a sickly smile, “Sounds odd doesn’t it, cant trust me when you’re the one with the gun.”
He winked at her then pushed her down the hall way. It was a little passage that led to a bolted white door. It had an orange sign in the middle, indicating that ear muffs should be worn. It also had a sign saying, “Engine room. Crew only.”
Nick bent down and looked at the door knob. He pulled out a vivid marker pen. He drew a circle round the knob and then 5 points at intervals around the circle.
He looked up at Ester, stood back behind her and said “Ok, now open it.”

comic #214

well, hardcore week. How bought you?....Really? That must have stung in the morning. Finally finished A toon im doing for church. Its a little more sedate compared to some of my others.
http://img209.imageshack.us/img209/7683/sowerseedap7.swf
this latest comics taken me a while. I hate drawing cars. grrr.

frig this maths and frig this art to. quote of the two weeks.

this is the part where I stare at the wall for about 10 seconds, pick a subject and keep writing for hours about it..........
So I was talking to this spamvertisement sales men person on the phone. He had an indian accent, he sounded quit charming. Anyway, he said that he was doing a thingy about asking people about issues in the community, and If I would like to do it. I was desperately trying to come up with some insane excuse not to. I couldnt think of anything. OH DAMN! MATT! I missed my chance!!!!!AWWWWWWWWWW!
Anyway. I just said it wouldnt be a good time, and he said was I sure, and I said I was damn sure. Then he asked if anyone male and 18 or older would do it. And I was like, no there isnt. and he was like, are you sure about that? And I was, Look, I think I should know, this isn’t a youth hostle you know. Sheesh, im the only one here.
so he said if that was alright, and im like no. and then he says, one moment please. I sat there for a sec, then was like, WHAT?HUH?. then he tried asking me stuff. I mean, damn, what does it take to get rid of someone these days? anyway, I finally told him I wasnt even 16 and I didnt want to do it anyway. He asked me if I was sure about that to. uhm wait, let me check... nope 2 more years before I could be priviledged enough to partake of your research scandal.

Woot.

comic #213

so much mystery! It just makes me feel like....singing? Ok, so, I found a new Reel Big fish song. its awesome, thats not its name, thats the name of one of their newer ones.

What ever happened to smash mouth? I have said this before in one of my comics. But Honestly, did they suck THAT bad?? I did some research (meaning I downloaded some of their songs) and their really not that bad. Their actually pretty groovy. But what do I know. Im "unconforming". Im not trendy though. Cause to be trendy you have to be unconforming with everyone at the same time. That bugs the hell outa me(good thing to, hell sucks). I mean, EMOS ARE NOT IN THE FREAKING BIT COOL. ahem. I mean, Honestly, they cut their wrists why? I have heard, cause it feels good. Well...gosh. I dunno.
But as soon as someone finds an alternate style to follow, or to not be punk, skater, gangsta, emo, goth, their instantly labeled uncool. Now thats so hypocritical. How fickle fashions be.
WAIT! I just had an appifiny!
To be unconforming, is to be rebelious? correct. Well, Them saying im uncool just proves that im a rebel. If everyone thought I was cool, and My music was cool, and everyone just appcepted it, I wouldnt be rebelious anymore.
So its like a win win situation. They say I suck, I tell them that they dont know what it means to be trully rebelious and then tell them they can mess around in drag as much as they like. go shave your legs. It would make sense.

But then again. Me saying that would make them rebelious, and now im being the hypocrit. or am I? I do not know. I will study this phenominon.
