Comic #249

Yay, everyone loves nom nom, and everyone loves relient K! Relient K has always come around at a pivital point in my life. They were the first band I ever listened to, effectively set me on my course of punk rock. The first song I ever heard of theirs was "Mood rings" And I was curious as to whether they were actually a christian band or not. This was back in 2003 (I think). their album "Two lefts don't make a right but three do" Set the tone for my life at the time. Getting my first GF, generally going through teen angst. "mmhmm" kept that track going, except growing up just a tad, being a bit more serious, less jokes, but still light hearted. "Five score and seven years" that one came just in time for that first gf I mentioned to marry my best friend. I was a real sook about it and the final song "DeathBed" helped me get over myself. (Less morbid than it sounds,)
As I was finishing headspace last year I found out they had an EP out "Birds and the B-sides". "the lining is silver" was a good song to feel sad to, knowing that the crew that I lived and slept with were all about to go their seperate ways. I listened to that album all the way home, reading letters from everyone.
and now comes "Forget and not slow down" a whole new album. With a whole new set of experiences that will be had alongside it, right at the end of my first year of uni. I'm excited to see where life takes me. I guess the title of the album may be a good motto to take up, Ill forget things as soon as I throw them on the blog.

Comic #248

I would like to take this moment to rant about music lovers. I am a music lover. I think just about everyone is. Except angry old shrewds, who measure the decibels of everyones music, and squeel like a little girl when it goes one over the legal limit for a residential area.
It bugs me when people say that a bands new sound sucks. That their old stuff was way better. Now I find this comparison similiar to comparing a first year student with a masters students work, and saying that the first years was better, for no better reason than that the they saw the first year students stuff first.
In some cases very rare cases of course the students work may be better. But Bands are constantly improving their sound. Or at least they should be, unless they're lazy.
So next time You say something like "man I love greendays new album" and someone else says "Yea, but their original stuff was better." You can respond with phrases like "Your left behind in the 90's."; "Yea, because 3 chord riffs are always the superiour choice." ; "Just because you can't figure out the story line of the album" ; "Do you even know what a rock operah is faggot?"

Yea, I said faggot, fuck face.

Comic #247

I'm gonna be flipping between story lines fairly regularly, So the story gets syncs properly when The finalee arrives. So try and keep up. lol. Although Im sure you can descern characters and figure out whos who faster than I can draw them so, there we.
Road works suck. Well, they dont suck. It was a great day. Just thinking about doing it again tomorrow just isn't appealing. Especially going into the city and doing it. Im not really very good at RL tasks. Ha ha.
Check out my tunes where the shoutbox used to be! Wooo.

comic #246

Hello hello. It has been almost two years since I posted a Steve comic. Life has been chugging on. Last year was the most kick ass year of my life. The odd thing is, Steve wasn't a part of it at all. I only noticed when I finished 2008, that the people I hung out with that year didn't know anything about Steve. If you were a friend of mine prior to that year These comics were that "Oh Izak, you do that little comic thing don't you." it was like my nervous twitch thingy. I think it may have been a good thing that I disattached really. The comic had a lot of baggage with it. I started planning how the story would continue a few months ago. Revising in my mind over and over how the story will go. Tying up loose ends, etc. Grounding the comic in its roots also. The story style I used in the last few comics is shit. It didn't have that bit of life that the framed comics did.
So here it is, quite unceremoniosly presented to you, uncoloured is the next step in the odd life of steve.
